yes, its the 5-11 soil that needs more frequent watering to stay consistently moist. Had I used bagged potting soil, Id be watering more like 1x/mo. or less, since my pots are big and it stays wet for so long.

I love it, & my plants thrive in it but making it & finding the ingredients IS a commitment!

The peatmoss I get at Home Depot in a large bale and the lime I get there too. The perlite- I forget the brand name-its a new kind Im trying out. I used to also get that at HD but more than half the bag was dust & miniscule pieces, despite being labeled as ”coarse grade” so I looked elsewhere. The pine bark- Im having a terrible time locating it this year! Every seller ive called in the area but one is out, stating supply issues. The one who has it, Ive used about 5 yrs now, but there is so much sapwood and alot of the bark pieces are bigger than I want and I dont have time to sit & pick out all that junk. Im at a loss here! Some stuff may just have to wait till spring to get repotted, unfortunately.
