We are buying an old cabin built in the 1890s. The fireplace has a metal box, stone facade, and some weird pipes sticking out. The place hasn’t been occupied in 5 years, but there is charred log in the fireplace, so someone burned wood in it once upon a time. The cabin has no gas lines, so we are wondering what these pipes are? Anyone know?
