We need a to scale floor plan and a ton more info. How many seats , how is th space going to be used to start. Are you going to have doors and what are they like and how do the open since they take up space if opening in We need more info please and provide it here in comments and also the floor plan make sure that is to scale and posted here in jpeg format.

Depends a bit on where you are and if you plan on leaving it there all year or if there is a winter where you bring things inside. If the boards are 4", that is around 12x8' for the enclosure? Maybe a bit bigger? How many people are using it?

A couple chairs or a small couch/loveseat and chair would be nice. A table is usually good to have. It looks like you got lighting cans in the ceiling and a sconce spot by the door, but some ambient lighting for night time is often nice. You have electric there, so you could do string lights or outdoor lamps. If you get chill and like being out there, consider getting a small and safe outdoor patio heater. Depending on how you use the rest of your yard, a landing space for outdoor stuff? Like taking off your grubby shoes or if you have gear after being out in the rain sort of things.

You may need to add screening underneath the floor, otherwise bugs will come through the gaps.

I'd lean toward furniture that doesn't require cushions for comfort.

In a screened porch, you'll still get blown in rain... you need to consider where you'll store cushions when not on the furniture.

Thanks for all the comments. To answer a few questions, I’ve attached a photo with the dimensions. We have a family of 5, so ideally seating for at least 5. A table would be nice, but worried about sacrificing seating for the table. We like to relax and looking for something comfy. We would have all the doors swing out so as not to limit the floor space. While the photo shows two doors into the house, we don’t really use one and that will buy us some space there. We are also toying with a small tv on the wall closest to the stairs.

It's not a huge space, but you have a lovely view!

My Mom had a 10'x10' screen porch. There were comfortable chairs in each corner (cedar log furniture with cushions), and a couple of end tables. Just inside the porch was the kitchen table, so eating there with the sliding door open was practically like eating on the porch.

In your case, I think I'd start small and/or inexpensive, and see what develops. An inexpensive round table and stacking chairs would allow for eating, but easily stored or moved if you find you don't take meals in the porch. Ge a couple of comfortable chairs, and wait to see what seems to be missing - then add it.

My heart sinks at the thought of putting a TV out here. There is such a great view and I bet lots of cool sounds at night. To distract from that seems like a travesty.

I'd focus on lounging type furniture with a big coffee table in the middle. Kids can sit around it and eat while adults sit in lounge furniture to eat with end tables to hold drinks. I'd be sure to have at least one sofa or a chair with ottoman that an adult can fully stretch out on and take a nap.

I think the 2 exit doors are an issue so maybe something like this beside each door and the chairs like the pic so kind of 2 seating spaces and a table against the wall across from the doors into the house, that you you can pull out for dining and also makes a great place for appies when entertaining,

You mentioned giving up access to second door, so a few seating options are feasible. Configuration and type of seating depends if adding a tv next to interior door and if not, you may want to focus on the view.

Given cushion storage (during storms and off season), I really like the Solleron from Ikea and note the details and seating options.

Having a table for games, breakfast, etc is so much part of the porch/cottage experience and I found this one, if you are short on space (also think teak is a great choice).

Suggest doing an actual on line room plan and test what/where to place.

First thought...daybed, right? I included a standard Twin mattress daybed in three layouts. I didn't measure anything else so outline painters tape on the floor.

TV is to the right as you leave the house...either facing you on low table in front of screening, or TV on house wall.

The shapes represent:

• a daybed...sofa style with a back OR backless bench style to sit both directions.
• two comfy swivel chairs
• area rug
• a round large ottoman or coffee table
• round pouf
• two slim camp chairs
• two small side tables
• TV
• dining table with bench and four chairs

Add lots of pillows and throws.

Oh that is a bit biggger than my first guess. Which door into the house do you tend not to use? The one to the stair side or the other side?

Do you need both doors? I would want to put a sofa in from tod the car door facing the lake. We have a small space too, but we love it.

The tv pulls out and rotates so it can be tucked away when not in use. We bought the hardware on Amazon. There is another door opposite the door to the house and that’s the one we use.
