Certainteed siding color help…pretty please!

Please help me decide on a siding color. We are using Certainteed Monogram siding. I posted my neighbors house (identical layout) because mine is blocked by trees. Trees and overgrown bushes coming down!
- Can someone post some pictures with sandstone beige and herringbone.
- A White House is out, as my husband is refusing 😞
3)Our roof is black and not changing.
4)My lot can be a little shady so not sure I want to go too dark.
5)Colors we are considering (but open to any other suggestions) sterling gray, sandstone beige, herringbone
- Would like to decide on a shutter color as well.
- My first choice was sterling gray and still considering but I am getting a little bored with gray. It’s everywhere!
- Any mock ups would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for Hardiplank or Certainteed Siding - GREYS examples
Comments (1)Don't know about the greys but my GF just had her 4 year old certainteed siding removed. It cracked and warped all over within the first 2 years. There was a class action lawsuit regarding the product. She was given a settlement amount ( but had to add to it out of her own pocket). She replaced the siding with Hardi-Plank. The whole settlement and residing process caused her a lot of stress and hassle. She was told that there was a problem with the siding for a couple years because Certainteed had changed their product formula but now have changed it back. Comments (10)I would suggest not doing the very narrow dutch lap style that seems to be so popular now. It often looks very commercial and sterile, imo. I don't think it would look right on your style of house. Too tight and compact, or flat looking, for the shape and lines of your home. Are there any colors you are already drawn to? Comments (24)We are in the midst of building and are going to chose colonial white. Our neighbor is doing vertical siding all around in colonial white, 8”. I think it’s coming out great. This is their home. It was a cloudy day around 630pm, so minimal sun exposure....See Moreoliveandwell

10 months agoSometimes it's easier to begin by eliminating the colors that will not work with your brick.
IMO your selection should be a good contrast for the brick and not overly gold or yellow.

10 months agoI know your husband said no to white BUT white washed brick looks soooo nice. This house in my neighborhood is one of my favs. They painted the brick white and then went with board and batten. It is the most elegant house on the block. What is his concern with white?
