Flooring for Residential Elevator

New construction home in SC with residential elevator. DIY. The elevator car requires 3/4” flooring so I was planning to use nail down 3/4” oak hardwood. The elevator is rough 36” x 42” with doors on adjacent wall and 2 other walls. Seems pretty easy but my problem/question is with expansion gaps. I can’t leave expansion gaps at the dorways. I was thinking about leaving a small (1/4”) gap on the other 2 walls and cover it with shoe/quarter-round moulding (there are no baseboards). Is that suffiricent? The floor will be installed in June - warm but not the warmest month in South Carolina.
