Hello, I'm looking for advice on paint colors. My home is over 20 years old and needs to be painted. The top photo is an old photo of the front of my home. The yard looks totally different now. I'm wondering if I should paint it the same colors or update the colors. That there are a couple other homes in the neighborhood with the same paint colors, I was thinking it might be a good idea to consider updated colors. The second photo is one option I'm considering for colors, but I'm open to others.

I'm also curious about brands of paint. I would like to use a good quality paint without going too overboard on the cost. I have been using Benjamin Moore for the inside and I do like the quality of those paints. But I'm sure that they are not the only good paint company out there. I live in Southern California (gets a lot of sun and heat) and I want to make sure that the paint does not fade very much over time.
