Any feedback on Pottery Barn's Montego Dining?
Comments (3)I have the Pottery Barn Montego rectangular straight leg table in espresso. Beautiful table--worst purchase I ever made. It is so finicky. It scratches so easily, and it had fingerprint marks all over it within a month or two. I have to wax it all the time to get it to look halfway decent. Do not get this table if you have kids. Even if you don't have kids, don't buy it if you'll use it very much. It only looks pretty if it doesn't get used....See MoreBenchwright table from Pottery Barn - to wax or add coat of poly?
Comments (98)This furniture is wood chips compressed with glue, with a slap of cheap stain on top. It's awful given how much the pieces cost and how long you have to wait to have them delivered. The upholstered pieces don't hold up to real life either. I've also experienced dye fading in expensive PB towels and bathmats with the very first wash, while using a mild detergent like Cheer to protect the colors. The spots never stop appearing. Pottery Barn would not even consider taking them back. So I buy all household textiles elsewhere. Walmart has better quality towels. We shall see how these retailers fair in the next year or so, as the economy is changing rapidly, and how responsive they are to customers when there are fewer of them....See MorePottery Barn Slip Covered Dining Room Chairs
Comments (15)I like my natural colored slipcovers. Yes some one can spill bbq sauce, but what if they spilled on your dining chair? Unless you are using all wood or vinyl, it is going to stain. Being able to take it right off and treat the stain with out damaging the frame of the chair is a nice thing. Personally, I would look for a less expensive version, but that is due to my wallet, I would probably love these if I could afford them. You can find other covers so you can switch out if you get tired of the white. Since I am busy sewing my own slip covers right now, yes they can wrinkle and shrink. But taking them out of the dryer while still fairly damp can make it easier to stretch them to put on. I have an older and much loved couch that has had the covers washed a lot with no issues with the seams. I did replace the seat cover because over time (and with the help of the dog) was not coming as clean as I would like...See MoreReview of Pottery Barn Cline dining chairs - comfortable, durable?
Comments (33)I have had the Cline dining chairs in Charcoal for about 2 weeks, I love the look of them but herein lies the danger of ordering online not having been able to see them/check them out in person beforehand - they are not very comfortable at all I am contemplating returning them. Frustrated because I ordered them and they took 3 months to get here and now I need to find another option. Oddly enough I like the 3 Cline counter height stools I ordered at the same time and will definitely be keeping those. The dining chairs are 1/2" narrower and when I scoot back all the way the verticals of the backrest crowd my bum. I'm 5'-7" 150 lb. but if I don't rest my back on the backrest then my lower lumbar gets super irritated. I have bulging disc issues so if I don't have proper lumbar support I am in pain. :(...See Moreocotillaks
