Lots of flower photos today--March 7th (long!)
Comments (8)Wow...your garden reflects your hard work, planning and care. I totally agree about raphiolepis. It's just one of the best garden staples around, trouble free, blooms beautifully with dark green foliage. I just don't understand why people don't plant more of them and less of those tempermental, itchy azaleas! Don't you just love the color of those tender rose leaves when they first burst forth after pruning!? Thanks for sharing your pictures....See MorePhotos: Check out the brights today & get a big hug
Comments (7)I must say, that for some unknown reason, I tended to dislike any dark oranges in general for many years in any type of flower, and only liked a tangerine perhaps or lighter shades of orange, but nowdays I feel very different about the dakrer shades and just love them and want to add more. Those are good candidates I'd say, and very lovely! So far I love my Santiago Heat, and Mauna Loa, though obviously I have many more to choose from! In a much older variety with a bright eye, perhaps Hot Town?...See MoreLots and Lots of Blooms Today- long
Comments (15)Greetings is an awesome rose. It never stops flowering. The buds on it are absolutely unbelievable, there are so many. I only have 2 flowers open on it so far but will be sure to take pictures when more open. As far as I can see J&P offered Greetings for one year, which is when I got it and then it was gone. Replaced by GOOD N PLENTY, which I didn't feel I wanted. Royal Wedding is also a J&P rose, one of their versions of english style roses like their Golden Zest. LOUISE CLEMENTS is one of the John Clements intros from Heirloom Roses as is MEMORIES. Cool here too but it hasn't bothered the roses, going to be a great spring flush....See MoreMarti Gras has lots of bright colors!
