How about Scentuous?

I dislike 'Heritage' a lot - it fades to parchment-pink in hours and drops within a day once open. It doesn't have much to commend it. So in that regard, almost ANY other rose would be superior. If you like the Austin Rose style, you could easily choose any of the Austin pinks introduced in the past ten years and you'd have a vastly superior rose.

Diane are you in Idaho? Your roses color always look different than California roses. My Boscobel and others here in CA always look more coral. You have so many gorgeous roses and they all look so healthy.

Mishu, thank you so much. Boscobel isn't perfect, but it's still a favorite of mine, and is very neighborly to Golden Celebration which grows next to it. I don't grow Princesse Charlene de Monaco because, though I wanted it, I didn't have the space. I think she's quite lovely and makes wonderful bouquets, but she seems to get really tall, so if you're looking for a shrubbier rose, you might not get that look. I hope others who know more about this rose will chime in a give you some of their impressions of PCdM.

Jemma, I live in the desert hills outside Boise, SW Idaho, zone7, hot and dry. We are a semi arid desert. I get some coraling up with Boscobel in summer, but not bad. PAoK, though, was simply awful when the heat was on. Her blooms turned an ugly coral, became smaller and with fewer petals. So, after a lot of hard shoveling, I removed this huge rose from my garden several years ago. There are a lot of factors that determine color, including the kind of camera you use, the time of day you photograph your plants, and what the weather is up to. It's not just location. Thank you about my roses. They are pretty healthy because we don't get rose diseases here and have few insect pests, in my garden at least. Diane

PAoK is a little pinker than Boscobel here. I bought Boscobel looking for a pinker rose than PAoK.

Are you looking for that particular bloom shape? If you don’t hate hybrid teas I can’t say enough good things about Quietness. Long lasting, stays pink, wonderful shrub shape.
