Well there’s more house to see than roof. And of course you’ll likely get other shutter colors suggested since you’re asking. Did you consider like a grey-blue before deciding on black? Beautiful home for sure!

I did but thought black would be the most versatile. 🤦‍♀️ and I thought roof was gray at first. We eventually will have to replace roof so we will see.

They look fine. The roof appears to be charcoal, and that can look blue sometimes, depending upon lighting

It’s all about the lighting, as you clearly see in the picture you showed us. The sun is hitting the house roof and the garage roof differently and it looks like you have two different colors of roof! So leave them alone.

Such a beautiful home..quite large as well. Think it's the Natural Lighting from the Sun that's creating the effect of the difference in color appearance. I do agree with you that the color appears to have a blue tint on the garage side but on the house ? It appears a different color. Shutters are gorgeous. This same occurrence happened when my Moms house was re-sided. After the Company was informed ? They checked during different hrs of the Day and early Evening- unfortunately the packaging was no longer available that the Siding had been delivered in..All turned out fine. Pigments in color don't change w/natural light or Artificial light but can create a bit of an illusion in appearance of the actual color. You have a very beautiful home.

Thanks everyone! I was kicking myself for not doing navy and honestly thought black would just look classic. I agree that the side over the house looks charcoal. I didn’t notice the blueish tint til later.

It looks great! Very classic. In the pic, the garage roof definitely has a bluish tint, but on the left side of the house, it looks brownish. I suspect if you'd done navy, you'd be looking at that brown and wishing you'd done black.

Do you think I should paint the door a particular color? Grayish blue, black, or just keep it white?

Doors can be any color. What I would do is take a picture of the whole house (like you did) with the door shut. Paste it in PowerPoint, make a rectangle the size of the door, and make it different colors until I found one I liked. 

Traditionally, a red door was considered welcoming. A black door might look nice with your shutter color. A dark bright color similar to your interior color scheme might be a nice transition. If you have blues indoors, consider a navy for example. If greens, consider evergreen.

Those are just some ideas...
