I live in a small house and therefore storage is precious to me. I picked up these two side tables last weekend at a yard sale but plan to use them as a coffee table.

My idea is keep the two sides that face one another open and enclose the remaining sides. That way I can shove blankets, pillows, etc inside and then push the tables back together and you’ll never know. I will also apply a film of some sort to the glass top so you won’t be able to see inside them.

Im struggling with a material to enclose the sides with. I’ve considered rattan cane webbing or stained wood panels, but I have a hard time envisioning things.

I like the look of them open but I need the storage so that’s not really an option for me.
