What do people think of this design (see photo below). Marble slab backsplash, but with a plain white quartz for the perimeter counters. We are thinking of doing this, but also having the same marble slab on our island to tie it all together.

Our marble will be heavily veined, so matching of the veins from the backsplash wall to countertop could be problematic (or at a minimum very costly). Quartz would avoid that, plus the obvious benefits of the easier upkeep on the area that would otherwise get the most abuse cooking and food prep wise. Thoughts?
