Most floriferous Austin

What would you say is the most floriferous DA? One bush that you'd call a blooming machine.

I have had ORA for a few years and while I find the bloom itself a bit on the uneventful side - in my climate I barely get any pink, it turns almost white and also has very poor vase life). However, I do love her so much for her health, bushy habit and how prolific she is. When she is in full flush, she can get covered with 60+ buds. And she's in a pot.

Any other Austins that are THIS prolific?

I used to visit an Austin trial ground near Dallas that had large beds of probably 80 different Austins, One variety always looked good and full of bloom, far above any others. Not just heavy bloom, but extremely quick recycling and constant color.

Waow.i just got MW this year but in my yard it's a very slow grower. Small bush apparently. For whatever reason, my roses do better in pots.

Thanks. Your list was right after my post and I thought "my question's answered already." Over the last two years Sunrise and Sunset completely disappeared. "Magnus" will never die. But Harvest Moon has returned reliably despite its quills. I can't get rid of plant that has such a will to live.

What is your most prolific Blooming David Austin?

Pat Austin is my most prolific bloomer, but she's also 9feet tall. Tons of flowers, but unfortunately blow quickly. Scepter D'Isle, same. Tons of blooms that blow quickly. Darcey Bussel is a good bloomer, the dark lady and Sophy's rose are both blooming machines. Evelyn is a favorite. Huntington rose blooms very well too. Charlotte is one of the best and has stayed compact. Tamora is also wonderful. Carding Mill gets some BS for me. Litchfield Angel is a decent bloomer and has great disease resistance. Oliva Rose (new this year) is EVERYTHING they said she'd be. In every aspect a great rose. Prolific, beautiful blooms that last, and one of the most disease resistant roses I grow. I'm very impressed with her and plan to get a few more next season.

Thanks everyone for your input. Of the ones mentioned, I have Miss Emily McKenzie & Charles Grimaldi, and although still small, I have to agree that they do bloom heavy, and often. I also have a Jean Pasko and a Dorthea, but I don't know yet if these will be considered heavy & frequent bloomers. Now, I only need a heavy-blooming white brug that's also heat tolerant, and I've been eyeing Kong for a while, but didn't know that it was a heavy bloomer. Does Kong take heat, and howabout its scent? Any other recommendations?

If you want to drive up sometime I'll share some cuttings with you this fall. Frosty pink is the very easiest. Adora blooms reliably with large blooms. Shredded White performs wonderfully in ground in full sun and I have high hopes for Naughty Nick this year. He dropped buds a lot last year but was newly planted and its as tall now as it was in October last year already. I have plenty that bloom in the garage in the winter, lol. Haven't found a good yellow. I lost my cutting of a nice yellow that I was trying to root. Charles Grimaldi does well here too. Starts off yellow then turns orange. He is one of my faves too. My other fav for the pinks is Miz Scarlett. She has lovely dark blooms and so does Mountain Magic even though mine is a midget it still blooms, lol. Need to get another one so I will have a full size tree.

My two MW are both rafted and immediately came to mind. So I completly agree with Ben based on my epxerience. @Artist-FKA-Novice Zone 7B GAs, perhaps the distance between OR and grafted explains the difference in initial vigor. Mine both gave multiple large flushes from the get-go. Both were from DA directly.

Mine too is from DA directly, I got it bare root, but it's a slow grower.

Molineux and Munstead Wood. Constant blooms. Fast repeat. Both take at least two years to kick in and start to show their stuff.

This is a two year old Munstead wood (last fall).

This is a 7 year old, own root Molineux. It stays about 3 1/2 to 4 Ft tall. This one gets full blast sun all day. If you give it afternoon shade, the nice yellow doesn't fade.

.I'm not sure how it would be as a cut rose but for shear blooms, Desdamona is amazing.
