Use elastometric roof coating as exterior wall paint?

Hello, I bought a 5 gallon bucket of sta-kool + 10 year elastometric white roof coating for $20.

I’m building a shed sided with hardie panel and roofed with corrugated metal. I bought this coating because I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up and I thought it might be nice to apply to the metal roof after I finished, for insulating and water proofing reasons. I recently saw a video warning against applying such coating to metal roofs though because it can bubble and crack creating a significant problem. So…I was thinking I can just use this coating as a wall paint on the hardie. Does anyone have experience or advice on whether or not this is a good idea? Thank you.

Because I want all that "history" and colors to show thru and keep the dust from the old paint on the wall. I'm personally undecided about painting it or no but sooo many people love that wall as is. The clear coat will seal it. I thought I will live with it for awhile clear coated.

Thanks palimpsest! I didnt think of that! I'll double check with the contractor to see what he thinks then! If I move the shower to this wall, I thought it would be neat to leave it exposed. I could paint it light grey, or keep the white and maybe do a matte terrazzo on the floor. I could put a bench next to the vanity or maybe a makeup counter? Also, I dont think I would do a shower door.

sorry jeff,,I don't believe that's cathedral on that house. it's very close tho...there is not info on the color of the house w/that picture. grab a sample and try it out. that's not an actual paint color,,its the color of siding. sorry! I posted it for how good it looked w/the coloring you have.

I'd go with white! For the garage door as well, and the windows. Keep it simple. More than the roof, the detail around the windows above the garage bothers me. It will disappear if it's all the same color. BM China White is very pretty (not too bright). Maybe try a couple different swatches with sample cans and see what you think. Congratulations on the house purchase!
