We had this same problem when we built last year. We have no white on the exterior of the house but have creamy white trim on the inside everywhere except DH's study. When it came time to put shutters on the walk-in closet, we chose to use the stained shutters with white trim and it looks fine. Here's a picture:

The trim is weird, though I did just have wider trim put on the rest of the windows and corner boards, but the original trim was not bad, just a little narrower than I wanted. The carriage doors unfortunately will be replaced soon with overhead doors as they let in too much cold air and there is finished living area above the garage. The new doors will be trimmed with the same arch to retain the look. We also have plans to add an overhang, as well as a third bay.

Judy Graham, I bought a dover white samplize, and my trim is definitely not dover white like it should be to match the shutters. I also bought a BM Navajo white samplize and it is almost a perfect match for my trim! That explains the peach look I’m seeing up on the crown molding, because the navajo white sample I bought does the same thing up against a stark white. Trying to find a wall paint color for Navajo white trim feels totally impossible though. Right now, my goal is to pick out a wall color I like, and then I’ll choose a trim color. I’m keeping with the warm beige and yellow colors, so I’m hopeful that what I choose will work nicely with dover white trim. I’ll add Wish to the list of samples I need. I was really tempted to take the shutters down, but then the heat came. It’s been in the 90s where I live, and being able to close those shutters when the west sun starts to come in has proven to be helpful this week.

I don’t think shutters are going to work for you. The only windows possible are the garage windows and the one on the porch. Start with your window boxes first and see if that will give you the color you need.
