Need help picking shutter, garage door and front door colors!!
Comments (6)This is a recommended color from SW for Mindful Gray…homburg gray. I would do this on the shutters and the garage doors and leave the wood door as is. The two middle windows shouldn’t have shutters as the won’t fit appropriately, but you are not painting the siding and the darker outlines of the shutters will show if you don’t replace what was there. Personally, would like the house with out shutters and would probably paint the siding and garage doors and have no shutters at all....See Moreneed help picking SW shutter and front door colors!
Comments (6)I will have to do some measuring next time I make a trip to the house. I want to be able to relax on the porch with my husband, read alone, etc. I'm not planning on using the front porch as an entertaining area...more like just a relaxation area for us. Just looking for comfortable seating or swing that will go with some nice urns like you suggested. Each far side of the porch has 2 entry doors into the front sitting room and the den. I don't want to really block them off, so I'm trying to figure out a way to place furniture and decor without doing that....See MoreFront Door & Shutter Color Help
Comments (5)The style of your shutters means they look better stained. If you want to change colors you should get new shutters, but I agree with the other commenter who said they shouldn't be on the arched window. Does your house face south? If so, this could be the cause of the premature aging of the front door. See if your painter has a recommendation for a finish that will hold up better over time. Or maybe the amount of sunlight your front door gets means you will always have to paint or refinish it more frequently. If you decide to go with paint and think black is too severe, how about charcoal gray?...See MoreFront door and shutter color ideas...need help.
Comments (2)I would like darker gray or black shutters. Front door either same color or a color that leans more green than the teal you're showing in your pictures, and darker. If you're buying a new front door natural wood would look good too. There's a good chance that house originally had a dark wood front door....See MoreKimberly Fara
