Do you have a practical need for the top of the cabinet? If not I’d keep this space clutter free and hang a decorative mirror on the back wall and be done with it. I’m sure you could add shelves here for atorage or decorative objects, but if you dont need storage then I wouldn’t bother.

I would make the space a coffee bar. Make it fun but practical. Add an expresso machine colorful coffee cups and a fun sign on the counter. To fill in the empty wall space at some wood shelves with hanging cups.

I’d be tempted to turn it into a utility closet, storage for brooms, vacuum, ironing board , etc…

I was thinking of a coffee station/bar setup but wasn’t sure if it’ll be gross to do that since it’s so close to the half bathroom. Thoughts?

Looks too tight to actually use. I’d remove the 4 inch backsplash/repair wall, add shelves/a pot light and call it a day.

I do think it is kind of gross to have coffee right next to the bathroom door. Also, where do you make your coffee now and is it not good enough? I do like @Anne Duke idea of turning it into a broom closet. The size of the space is odd to look at - so narrow and so deep. It would be nice to put it out of sight and get great storage too.

You could do a coffee station with doors. https://www.decorpad.com/photo.htm?photoId=165410 I think that doors would make it pretty and remove the ick factor of the proximity to the powder room. Definitely need to add lighting to whatever you choose to do there.

The suggestion for a utility closet is nice. Otherwise, for now I might add some art that fits the wall space, and place something decorative on the counter that doubles for storage. Maybe a basket or trio of them.

Can't tell from your photos whether this cabinet is on an angle. If not, do you guys collect/drink wine? Could be a great spot for a wine column refrigeration unit, depending on the width. If the width is too small, you could build in dry storage instead.
