Mixing Leather Sectional with another leather or material loveseat?
I am replacing our current accent chairs with a loveseat. The current couch sectional is a dark brown leather. I want the loveseat to be a recliner for comfort. My dilemma is whether to go with a leather or a material loveseat. I am thinking the loveseat would be a white/cream color. I like the look and durability of leather, just want to be sure it is not too much leather.

Comments (10)Beautiful tapestry I'd let it be the focal point. As for the pillows/throws-now that's fun! You can bring in all the colors you can find in your tapestry..keep it warm even if the color is considered "cool" and muted..mix it up..bring a lot of different textures-you already have leather which is sleek so bring in something more textured..like knit, rug, embroidered, linen, faux fur, velvet..you can use metallic threads in one or two, to tie in your vases..I don't usually use many pillows but since the sectional is so big..maybe seven? Different shades of brown, gold, rust, green, cream..just play with proportions of the colors and you'll have your variety Throw-same principle-something textured and soft. I'd go with the lighter/brighter color here, from what you've got already-say cream? Or gold. Or rust. 10 months agolast modified: 10 months agoInstead of a love-seat which can only accommodate two anyway, consider occasional recliner chairs which will give you greater flexibility in layout options and also be more comfortable, personal space wise.
Regarding color and fabric, I don’t think white will work well and suggest cognac and if the chairs are not bulky, leather will be fine.
Since you are moving the sectional, figure out the ideal layout with an on line room planner before purchasing seating. Suggest drawing the eye down with art (centered) to create a more cozy space.
Whatever seating you decide on, it’s a good idea to enhance its color in rug and cushions.

You're going to want to move the sectional around so that the recliner can face the TV, aren't you?

10 months ago@BeverlyFLADeziner The TV is faced across from the wall. Here is a picture of the TV over the fireplace on the opposite wall. It is at a slight angle. Yes, I do plan to move the sectional around and the recliner should be facing the tv as you have shown.

10 months agoSeeing where tv is located, maybe leave sectional where it is and place loveseat under window. If possible reduce the number of side tables so it doesn’t feel cramped.
