yup I do know where babies come from and thats why I have two humongous catfish..thanks to Cherokee Joe. However, that does not mean they will get them all so I am guessing that I will be doing some give aways and buying a seine net or whatever it will take to get them out. I honestly thought I would have too many fish this year but each time I have had catfish in a pond, things have evened out by the end of the year. I made the veggie filter box too shallow. I thought that 3 inches of river jack in a 6 inch box would work but the plants replace rock with their roots bringing the mass all of the way up to the level of the box causing leakage. The more I think about it the more I think I will redo the veggie filter and keep plants out of the waterfall. I can load the waterfall box with bio balls and add a few plants near the rocks but not in any area where damming could happen. I was not there when the waterfall was built so was not able to say that I wanted my liner really high on the sides. I am finding that it is way too low so when water dams up and flows a bit higher, I get instant leakage. thanks for your words btw, your ponds sound cool!

Without seeing the stereo or the room, here goes. You MAY be able to hookup a pair of additional speakers. Most stereo receivers have provisions for 2 pair. Most manufacturers of inexpensive stereos do not recommend more than 1 pair of speakers be hooked up. Where to put the speakers will depend on furniture placement, room design, and aesthetics. Many people try to line up their ceiling speakers with the lighting so as to help them blend in better. Generally, 16 gauge speaker wire will suffice. Make sure to run a separate wire from the stereo to each speaker. DO NOT run the wires in series. Good speaker manufacturers include Speakercraft, Boston Acoustics, B&W, Paradigm, Polk Audio.

Wow!! I vote for the curved corner!. The ballustrades and the columns are great, lending a lot of character. Before I read your text, I thought, it was a mighty wide door (hehehehe) and understand why now after reading. My comment: The doubled doorway beneath the bay window is perfect. Maybe side lights? Don't let it get too heavy, but stay in balance with the upper floor window sets. Around the double door and the transom light (leaded glass design?) that looks like a wood infill but could just be more of your lapsiding. The REAL beauty is the rounded side porch...a ROTUNDA appearance. The molding at the top with its horizontal design gives a spacious feel, elongating the house, giving it a horizontal element not present elsewhere. The same is true of those GORGEOUS steps. How inviting! You'd have to make a broad walkway with a couple of benches half way up. I get an Italianate feeling with the side porch. Either a big frilly lacy light colored hammock hangs on such a porch, or else a nice round table and really comfy chairs inviting folks to come by for a visit and some good conversation. I think THIS porch really gives your house an atmosphere.

I continue to look at fans and fan light combos. I am reluctant to purchase onlline without knowing what is possible to hang, of course. I will need to hire help to hang and wire the fixture. Part of me wants to go to a local showroom and purchase it there, hoping that they have installers who will know what they are doing, and I will be able to exchange the fixture if they find a problem with the one I choose. I just have never done things that way - the expensive "rich people" way of doing things! It goes against the grain. My inability to help with this installation really makes me frustrated. I have to rely completely on others and I don't have anybody for this complicated a job. At least now I know about armored cable, thanks, David! And I know I can use surface-mounted boxes and conduit if the ceiling turns out to not be usable for running electrical. How about aesthetics? Does anyone have an opinion on having a ceiling fan rod coming down through a faux beam? If I got that odd fan in the second picture, would you think it looks stupid having the rod coming out of the center of the faux beam? It would have a 18" or 24" downrod (I forget which) to get it at the right height for the room, so it would be hanging lower than in the photo. Please give opinions, even if you tell me it would look stupid.
