Paint Help - Wainscoting, Trim

last year

I’ve gotten myself into a dilemma. My dining room was originally painted the traditional white wainscoting and then yellow walls. I wanted to go away for the traditional wainscoting look and try a monochromatic, moody dining room. My question is, now I’m here (see pictures). Do I paint the trim around doors and windows the same color as walls? What about the white grids in the windows? I also could do a black for the windows? Something about it isn’t looking right to me and I’m not sure where to go next? I also considered adding more picture frame molding above the chair rail molding? Open to any suggestions and ideas to achieve a more moody, modern feel. Thank you!
