I see ads for them all over .. some of the colors are really cute but I don't like the toe cap. Let us know how they work out for you.

I like the looks of a toe cap, but on me, they are horribly uncomfortable! Love the colors. I don’t know how I feel about having PANTONE written on my shoe, though.

I use Oxyclean for that and similar problems regularly. I might not work but at this point you don't have much to lose. You could also try one of the strong enzyme cleaners made for this problem. I have one that claims to eat up stains even after they are set. Or you could give it the old 1--2, first enzyme then rinse per instructions on the bottle, then Oxyclean in a pan with the hottest water available. I have one of my hot water tanks set for 150 degrees and that is usually hot enough. If you take the pan to the kitchen sink you have even hotter water available from the microwave or stove. Just don't use chlorine bleach because it eats rubber.

That is just skin folding, not fat. I recently watched a "fashion makeover" segment on a morning news show (I was captive--it was in a doctor's office waiting room), and a pretty but very overweight woman was getting made over. They put her in an outfit like Selena's above and said the key was having the waist high enough, so that it above the lumpy fat parts. Okay, they didn't use exactly those words, but you get the idea. The message was everyone can wear the exposed midriff style. Sheesh. So, yes, some are trendy no matter what the trend. Call me an old fogey, I guess. Okay, back on topic. My house has has a shade of burgundy that splits the difference between burgundy and plum and a moss green that runs throughout, except bedrooms and laundry/mud rooms. Other stuff is sprinkled in, but those run throughout the house. The floors are light reclaimed wood, but I think darker floors might actually be more appropriate from an interior design standpoint. However, it's a Texas Hill Country house and the pine is appropriate to the genre. So, I'm on board with Marsala, unless it's the browner version.

Feel better, Sue. DH gave me a tennis bracelet a million moons ago. I rarely wore it, so I had it made into two eternity bands (18kt yellow gold and the other white gold). As she got older, our mother gifted her jewelry to us each year. None of us wore what she gave us since my dad was not happy about her gifting. I just left five rings with a local jewelry designer, taking 5 pieces and turning into 5 rings, 2 necklaces and a bracelet... and still leftover bits for more later. It was fun designing the new pieces with her. I still have more things to think about redesigning, including a 10ct tennis bracelet. I think that's going to be split between 3 or 4 of us. Back to your 30th anniversary and Venice. When my parents went, she bought several glass bead long necklaces. fwiw, I love love love the Fortuny silk Scheherazade Geometric chandelier in our MBR, and the long pillows for the bed made from Fortuny fabric.

Favorite way of keeping White shoes White?

I did not know that Keds were no longer washable. How disappointing, but I just washed a pair without a problem. I don't wear them often these days, but will keep that in mind before I by another pair. The ability to keep white shoes white (and I'm assuming canvas here since leather can be polished, dyed or otherwise touched up) is one reason I have considered trying Rothy's sneakers. I wish they had a lighter styling though. With a large foot and a high arch, I like less shoe most often and find full coverage uppers may not fit well, but I digress .... The other thing I wonder about is based on crafting things I have seen. People are using Mod Podge for fabric on shoes as a glue or a protective coating. I recently bought some for another purpose, as well as 2 other brands to find out how they differed. Odicoat says it gives an oilcloth like finish and Heat n Bond has a liquid vinyl coating that is to be ironed to set. A single coat of Odicoat gives a nice light finish on cotton fabric or you can apply a second coat for more sheen and more protection. Heat n bond is similar -- just slightly heavier. My least favorite is Mod Podge. It is the heaviest of the three and has the most plastic feeling. hey are all washable, but only in cold water or warm and gentle for Odicoat. I have not tried any of them on shoes, but I know others have. I might try a coat on a pair of TOMS. Another super protector I have seen used is Carbon pro spray, but that has been on leather shoes. I don't know if it can be used on fabric or how it wears. It could have the same skin reaction potential as Scotchguard.

If I still played tennis I'd get the light pink.

bb, tell me how they're uncomfortable. When I got my Superga tennis shoes I liked them until I had to walk quite a bit and came home with a blister. It's the canvas that wouldn't bend to the foot it seems.

Love the toe tab though.

I think they're kind of cool with Pantene on them because I see it as a shout out to our fellow designers all over the world. I mean who else would wear a shoe with a Pantene color? :)

Other than a good pair of walking tennis shoes, Keds is always dependable for me. I never throw my old Keds away.

My foot isn't ready for a new shoe yet, wish it would heel, I mean heal.

I love the colors, looking at the pics I don't think that shoe would work for my foot. I searched to see if Pantone branded other products. They have some on their website, but nothing as cute as the sneaks. Perhaps some good stocking stuffer ideas?

This reminds me of the time I met someone at a party who told me they worked for Pantone. I think I scared him when I started peppering him with questions. He asked if I was a designer. I said no, just a little obsessive about paint colors.

Nope, not me. I only wear sneakers when exercising or walking, etc. I do have a pair of skechers mule (backless) tennis shoes that I wear in cold weather with yoga pants, etc. Once it is warm, I am all about sandals!
