Comments (6)There are two black Echie cultivars, 'Black Prince' and 'Black Knight'. The 'Black Prince' rosette is more compact with shorter, more triangular leaves compared to 'Black Knight' which has longer more slender leaves. When young, the two cultivars can be hard to distinguish and are often mislabeled. I would trust your tag more than me ;)...See Morefill a pot
Comments (5)I agree with both comments. Take 2 liter bottles or some water bottles plop em in there throw some bark in between them. I would, personally, put a sheet of newspaper on top pf the bark and bottles then put the soil on top of the newspaper. What this will do is create a barrier between the dirt and bark. Since the bark is far more porous, the paper will keep the dirt for settling into the bark. After awhile the paper will break down and your soil is already settled. I do this with all my succulents when seperating the soil from the drainage rock. Works beautifully....See Moremy succulents in Costa Rica
Comments (14)Thats it for now, I will show a pic or two of the tire wall so you can see how it is from further away. Normaly these walls get covered with cement and stucco or adobe. But I hate working with cement and cant buy it right now. So I think the plants and trees look nicer than just tires and bottles.. There are ficus, bouganvilla and a bunch more plants on there. Is it the ugliest thing ever? Maybe. But the plants help a lot. And to me its not so bad. Anyway, hope y'all liked seeing most of my s/c collection. Tomorrow I need to ask about a sad jade that I want to help. Earthships are awesome houses when finished, they take care of the inhabitants. And they are usualy off grid but have everything a "normal" house has. But they are far better than box shaped easy to build buildings that cant feed you. And in the desert they dont use or have A/C. They dont need it due to thermal mass and being super efficient. Check them out. Someday I'll finish mine.. I hope its interesting to folks. No house is "greener".. Thanks for looking, comments are welcome....See MorePlease help, my succulents are dying!
Comments (4)Gabby I believe you already had a thread about these plants= here = and few ppl responded. I don't remember what soil mix you used, but Gasteria has some rot - at least leaves you are showing do. Last plant - looks like xGraptoveria 'Fred Ives' to me; but there are few very similar looking Echeverias - is one of the easiest plants to reroot. If roots were totally dry, cutting them all off shouldn't be problem. Just insert into dry mix and let it be. They root even without any soil- look at these: Plant that you think is jade is actually Portulacaria afra - not related to jade. From what you describe, it sounds like they were quite dry and now maybe some overwatering, visible on gasteria. I do not know what else to suggest except what was already said....See MoreMe AGirl
