Does anyone have a Tolomeo lamp?
Comments (0)Has anyone had any experience with a "Tolomeo off-center suspension lamp"? It's manufactured by Artemide, and there are a couple of other styles (floor, wall) with similar construction, so I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on any of them. We've got a large sunroom with a ceiling outlet box (hardwire), and we like to move the furniture around regularly. We had a hanging lamp at one point, but we were limited to locating the table under the fixture, or attaching the chain to a ceiling hook about 24 inches away, but that also raised the lamp higher, and we couldn't really move the table that far from the outlet. This suspension lamp has a lot to like - totally adjustable, a long reach, and several shade options (I'm interested in the 17-inch parchment shade). I've seen the Tolomeo floor lamp in person at a Design Within Reach store, and it seems well crafted. Since it's a bit pricey, I was just wondering if anyone has any hands-on experience with this product? Comments (4)Here is link to mine - love them! Your style sounds slightly like mine, a little traditional, a little vintage, casual. I personally like larger, more substantial lamps for my main source of lighting on end tables with light shades that you can actually read by. Note that they are 33" tall - I was actually afraid they would look too tall, but they are just right. The trend in the past few years have leaned toward tall, skinny buffet/candlestick style lamps with dark(red, brown, black) shades which cast very little light on every table or lamps that are too small. I do like that style, but in the right place - a buffet, foyer table, etc. Tuesday Here is a link that might be useful: JCP Lamps...See MoreDoes anyone have a pool and dining table combo?
Comments (15)I saw a few online, but wanted to see if people who bought them actually like it. I do not have many...any sit down dinners, and we have a more than adequate breakfast nook overlooking the backyard to seat 6 people if needed, but we usually set food out and gathers are very casual. Previous house had a dining room which we furnished as a sitting room, but was not used much. was wondering if I can get more use of the space we currently have, I suspect if we put a dining table, the space will be under utilized... I have two young boys and was thinking a pool table, with a possible ping pong table that you can set on top will be more useful and if I combine that with a dining table...but wanted to see if anyone has pulled it off.. this is the one I was looking at: http://www.ozonebilliards.com/albany-7-foot-dining-pool-table-antique-brown-ozpt11ab7.html...See MoreDoes anyone have the Ivy Dining Table from Crate and Barrel?
