Can items (including large appliances) be shipped to a storage unit?

I don't own a home though

I live in USA. I am a disabled white female. I want to get items shipped directly to my storage unit (especially large appliances). Is there a form I need to ask for or definition/term with the precise decrypting of what I described so I know what to tell them and ask?

    The delivery truck just can’t show up to your storage unit without someone there acting on your behalf. Make an appointment for the delivery with the trucking company, usually a 2-3 hour window.
    An alternative would be to hire a local moving and storage company to take delivery for you. The downside to this is that you would be paying for storage at their warehouse, too.
