Susana, The cuttings seem to root real easy. Looking at my recent cuttings, the one simply stuck in the ground next to a stake in very full intense sun has already sent up new growth while two other cuttings from the same plant located in a pot and a bright but shadey area show no signs of growth. Just dig a small hole and place them in and support them with a stake of some sort. check out them scented geraniums in the background. Its amazing too see them thriving in this heat when I couldnt even keep them alive in the recent past

Yes, I do currently have this variety. Someone very recently donated Cowlick's Brandywine to WinterSown, I deeply appreciate their generosity, I am honored to share their seeds, and the seeds of so many other good folk too. Recent online discussion does generate interest, so I can't determine how long this seed stock will last. It's always first come first served, so do send your SASE as soon as you can. Cowlicks is one of the choices on the list, but there are also many other wonderful varieties too. There's a form to print out and fill in, put in six first choices and four defaults ;-) T

I also start my seeds in an unheated (but insulated, finished) garage, but I find the heat from the house and the sun coming through the windows on the garage door keep the garage at a cool but safe temperature. I has gotten down to the teens the last two nights here and according to the thermometer I have set up in the garage, it is still about 48 degrees this morning when I left for work. Maybe if we had a lasting cold spell, I would worry about it dropping too low, but it is not too common for the temp to drop below 20 around these parts.
