What color should I paint my bathroom vanity?
Comments (1)I wouldn't do that, it's going to make them look dated & unprofessional. I'd paint the cabinets a soft white. It will help open up the space & keep the rooms looking fresh. If you're apprehensive about doing that because the counters are white, add some off white glaze to help add some contrast....See MoreAgates. beach rock & glass bathroom vanity
Comments (20)Hey, Here's the update on my vanity that has become a pain in my BUTT!!! Ok the last clear coat will go on tonight!! YEAH!!!!!! Tomorrow morning I will be able to finally put my bathroom back together!!! It seems like forever...I will no longer be found on the bathroom floor. You will now find me outside enjoying life!!! If I had known I would have waited til next winter when I have to be inside. Oh well it will be done and I will be happier for it....But my next projects will be ones I can work on OUTSIDE!!!! I will post pics just as soon as I put it all back together and clean it up......See Moredecorating a vacation rental beach home
Comments (10)It depends on lots of different variables of which we don’t have info on! Where is it, what is the rent ( high end; mid range?) size of rental, is it a cottage or condo, etc..? Will this cater to young families and will it be pet friendly? We need more info. I have several beach rentals and they are furnished comfortably but practically! Keep in mind that people are on vacation and there will be sand and the occasional wet bathing suit ! Not everyone will be as careful as you would like so nothing that is too valuable! If you are near salt water wood and plastic work better than metal( rusts !)....See MoreWhat would you prefer in a rental—-a basic 24” vanity or a pedestal?
Comments (19)I too have rentals and I have been in the rental game for 30 years now. In my experience one of the biggest mistakes a landlord can make is not having proper storage space for things a tenant is going to have. Both the counter top and the storage under a vanity are essential for rental properties in my opinion. I would never sacrifice those. What the tenant is going to do to get storage keeps me up at night. The idea that a tenant is going to come in and put their own storage in makes me cringe. I never buy a vanity with a toe kick. I always buy a floating vanity or buy a regular vanity and modify it so that it is on some type of leg. I never have a problem with a vanity rotting even when next to a tub. That really doesn't have anything to do with renters, that has to do with living in an area where setting wooden vanities on the floor in a bathroom was seen a kind of stupid. Just my 2 cents. I am not saying anyone else is wrong, just relaying my experience....See MorePaul F.
