I LOVE my Rooguchi! But I think I planted it in the wrong spot.

Mine was a gift from a friend's garden when she moved away - I had always love this little clematis twining on her little pillar. I planted it on an arbor, hoping it would meander through my Zephrine Drouin rose. No such luck. I actually think the rose is declining because of the robustness of Rooguchi! I never saw it do this in my friend's garden!

I've been meaning to move this but dread it because the space is so tight down there in the soil and I'll likely disturb the rose too. I wanted to move it not only because of it's size but also because it never bloomed at the same time as Zephy - until last summer. Now I'll have to see if it blooms together again because it really is a nice combination!

Love it!

And yes, like many of you, mine is already a good three feet tall!
