Gotta have these matching tufted chairs
Comments (14)sewwhatsnew - The chairs are beautiful, for sure. Have you purchased from Ashley before? I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but Ashley Furniture is notorious for failing to deliver timely and for poor quality worksmanship. This company is based in Wisconsin, where I live, and recently the local news reported stories about disgruntled Ashley Furniture customers. Apparently, they do not keep a lot of inventory in stock, so they deliver at a date later than purchase. According to the complaints I've seen, they make delivery date promises and literally do not deliver on them. Also, the quality is not high, so they have received many complaints and, according to the reviews, have not adequately repaired/replaced/serviced their products. Resolution of customer issues seems to take a long time. I don't want to burst your bubble, I just want you to be aware in case you have any problems. In the last 36 months, there have been 180 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau about this company, and if you do a search on Ashely Furniture consumer reviews, you'll find heaps. I think they were also sued for copyright violations. I'm sure not every customer has been disappointed, but it's helpful to at least be aware of these concerns. I hope your experience with this company is positive. Keep us posted. Here is a link that might be useful: Ashley Furniture Consumer Reviews...See Morefor anyone who has made cushion covers
Comments (11)bbstx - I have never had that problem. I started using the larger inserts after buying some covers from an etsy seller and that is what she suggested. It has always worked great for me; I think the pillows look so much better. Laurie! I have never seen that technique! How interesting. I have heard the pointy corners referred to as rabbit ears. LOL What I do is round the corners. I have tissue paper patterns for my different pillow sizes and I trace out a square in the desired measurements. Let's say 20 x 20. Then I take a small plate, saucer, etc. and use that to trace a rounded "corner" instead of pointed. Works great! I'm going to try the method you shared and see how that looks. I love pillows and change out covers often....See MoreWho was it who made me aware of Barker Door?
Comments (4)Thanks to this thread (or not) I have just finished installing 2 sliding shelve boxes in my kitchen cabinets. I ordered them 7 years ago (yes, SEVEN) and never got around to installing them all (ordered 4, for various lower cabinets.) I got them from eBay for my KraftsMaid cabinets. You shamed me!
