I'm seeing stuff in a #6

Anyhow, was there ever #6 pot in past yesteryears. Never recall seeing a #6 or is the **new** #6 the previous #7 .

Are you sure they didn't mean the pots were #6 plastic? I am not aware of anything being sold as a #6 sizing and I work in the industry. The manufacturers that make the containers that supply the nursery don't even produce them in that size!

Have not in person seeing listed as #6. Just doing a search and I happen to see quite a few listed with a #6 on it. The pricing sorta alludes to what a #7 would represent....and yes, I've never seen a #6 . Hence the OP - is #6 the new #7. Kinda like how 64oz juice is now 58 or 52 oz, etc....I dunno...

Hi, I have 6 HUGE round black plastic pots that plants came in. The diameter is approximately 14 inches and the height is 18 inches. I believe they are 15 gallon size. I no longer need them and would like to sell them. You see them at nurseries everywhere, but rarely for sale. Some select nurseries will sell them for $5 to $7 each. I have a total of six. I would prefer to sell them together, but will sell them separately if you want less than six. I am asking for your best offer. They are in great condition, a little dusty with dirt, but that will wash off quickly with a garden hose. They are great for plants that will be moved or transported. Also great to grow flowers and vegetables in! They are large enough for long term growth. Perhaps you don't have a large enough backyard or no soil space, so grow your plants in these pots instead! I am using 3 of these (the same size)to grow pumpkins! :o) If you need photographs, please ask! Potted Norfolk Island Pine. Few questions about size of pot

After growing these pines indoors, they definitely don’t like their roots disturbed. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t disturb them. With say a Ficus, I can be rough, remove all soil, blast roots with water and prune them and the tree won’t skip a beat. With the Norfolk Island pine, it always gives me a little bit of a hard time when I do a full repot. Some branches always die and fall off and it takes a little bit to get back on track. Mine hasn’t been repotted in over two years and is still currently putting out beautiful growth. im planning on repotting in June though. I would also wait until that point U S. If you’re in the northern hemisphere. If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, well, them now is a great time. the 5:1:1 mix is a great choice for this tree.

Just left the nursery on my tree hunt with hunt over...

FWIW. Pot sizes in the same cultivar, (on the tag notation) #3, #6, #10, #15, #25 ( #15 at one nursery) (jr spec 25 at the other one today)

Did not measure or look at the capacity of the pot

Maybe #7 is #6 these days.....

Not here it isn't. And there are a LOT of wholesale growing nurseries in my neck of the woods.......

I know....I wish it was the same pricepoint here as well as it is out there. Ha, we pay the west coat to east coast trucking overhead.......

I'm not sure there is much benefit to being close to the suppliers. The west coast has a very high cost of living and we pay a pretty hefty price point as well!! And you do have some big growers on that side of the country also. Monrovia has big growing operations in both Georgia and Connecticut. Another big Japanese maple and conifer grower in GA as well.
