The varigated schefflera in the back has scale and some black sticky powdery stuff on some leaves. I started to wipe the scale off the backs of the leaves with alcohol, but it's just too much bush to effectively wipe out the scale that way.
I have horticultural oil which says it's effective against scale. Seems like I would have to spray UP to get it on the undersides of the leaves which sounds very messy and awkward. Is this the best way to go? Are there any other options? I really don't want to lose the bush since it fills up and brightens that corner. Thanks.
