Hello! I’m in the early stages of a first floor foyer and staircase remodel, which has expanded into extending my existing Brazilian Cherry hardwood into my Living room and Dining Room (yeah! No more carpet!). Now, the inevitable Living Room refresh. I’ve included a few pictures of the 16 x 18 ish space. The only pieces I really want to keep are the large and small credenzas, curio. My sleigh loveseat and single chair/ottoman. My aesthetic is mixing antiques with modern pieces. I would like to add a sofa to that room, but can’t figure out a configuration that would be cozy. Not sure if the sofa should be a sectional, regular sofa? Also not sure of the orientation.. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The entire living room dining room area will be 5 1/4 cherry flooring to complete the downstairs.
