Need decoration ideas for above tv in sunroom
Comments (33)That's really a nice room. So much to love about it, including the windows we can't see on the other walls. I agree with colourhappy's point about negative space, and also with those who feel for other reasons that nothing is needed in the high spaces. The first and third photos posted by Rebeccamom123 illustrate keeping attention down in the levels people occupy. But those rooms benefit from a unified upper line defined by the architecture that you currently don't have. Rebeccamom123's middle photo shows wonderfully that that isn't the only way to a beautiful space, but this design is far more complex and required some talent. And I think yours also requires a little talent and training to make it look good. That TV placement may be necessary, but to me it creates a really significant visual problem. Since you're adding a mantle, etc., perhaps consider hiring a good designer to pull it all together? For instance, just because the TV support and lines come out at that point doesn't mean the TV itself couldn't be moved down (and sideways?) to a better position, adding architectural detail to disguise as needed. (Btw, strictly in the interest of feedback, one of those corner side walls looks big enough for your TV, or next size down, and I'd almost certainly have put it there. If it needs to be on the end wall to be seen from the dining and/or kitchen areas, and a TV in the kitchen's out of the question, of course that's the place.)...See MoreHelp with wall decor above table/beside television
Comments (7)I figured. I think if you could even spare a foot, it might open up some options. We have a long tv wall too. It helped to get a long low console under the tv… still haven’t found the right thing for the right side of the tv myself. Would you consider a gallery picture wall? There might be a way to find a calm, unbusy collection of pictures…. And it could even dip below you table or a chair a bit…Here’s a little googled example. You could cut some shapes/sizes of art out of paper or cardboard and stick them on the wall… stand back and take a pic. See if it’s your cup of tea....See MoreBig TV, Bigger Wall…decorating help
Comments (25)Very nice space. I notice that storage was mentioned in one of the comments. I don’t think you really have any storage issues. But just to note: the long, low console, that I posted above, has an open storage side shown; however, the piece features hidden door handles, and lots of closed storage, as well. If you read the description and reviews, you will get a sense of the closed storage possibilities. Also, as far as lighting: I think you may still be able to use your tripod floor lamp in the corner area to right of console, pretty much as you have it now. And if you want more light there, maybe a small lamp on left side of console. So a lamp something like this, or maybe bigger if you want, on left side of console. Your tree 🌲 looks beautiful, btw. Best Wishes! :)...See MoreHelp decorating tv wall with vaulted ceiling
Comments (6)I don’t think that’s the problem here. The tv and cabinet look too small for this wall. I’d get a longer lower cabinet and a much bigger tv. Width of tv should be about 2/3 the width of cab. Mount the tv fairly low to the cab so there’s not the awkward gap that you’re right now trying to fill with the framed pictures. Get rid of the lamps and everything else lined up against the wall. Remove all the tiny frames from everywhere including the fireplace. It just looks like clutter. Next thing I’d tackle is the paint color, which isn’t really complimenting the furniture. And then something more substantial in the niche to the right of the hall door. Pictures in daylight and of all four sides of the room would get you more help....See MoreRelated Professionals
