Interested in thoughts and suggestions for our small back yard and landscaping.

1- we recently removed a plum tree in the back of the yard, which was dead. Need ideas on what to plant or put back there. We can move the fire pit, but open to suggestions on how to display in the back and if we should leave the mulch.

2- we recently removed dead tall bushes along the fence line. This is on an alley way with high volume of traffic (walking, biking, etc). Therefore, I’m looking for suggestions on what to plant to give us privacy.
