What is it in my saucer?

Something I have already observed in recent months and which I then forgot to submit to you. After watering, when I go to empty the saucer I find - I can't tell you if always or only sometimes, if only in this benjamin's saucer or also in others - what you see in the photo. Can you tell me something about it and if I should be concerned?

Some kind of eggs? Spiders? It's hard to see what's inside them from the photos but it looks like some kind of creature. Can you look at them through a magnifying glass?

Do you rule out that they are fungal organisms? I used the zoom (macro function) of my mobile phone. I had tried taking a picture with a dermatoscope but the level of definition was about the same.

Yes I soaked them overnight and planted them.No chilling as they are tropical. More than half came up. I started them in a porous mix, peat and perlite. If they are able to drain fast there is much less of a chance of damping off IMHO. Some say to plant the seeds on edge. I didn't, but will next time. I started them in late march in a cold frame. When it got too cold I just brought them in. I had seven plants, one died. They love water. A large container would be a good thing. All my containers from five gallons to fifteen are completly full of roots. filix

I see them advertised for huge prices but I think a more realistic price may be $40.00 to$80.00 , maybe you could consign it to a antique shop and get more, who knows.They are few and far between now just my opinion.

You can swag it without using a chain. DH and I did this with the big cylindrical-shade fixture over our table. It has a white cord, and yours probably does, too. We screwed a small hook in the ceiling (wood ceiling) in the correct spot and used two-sided velcro to tightly wrap the cord at the hook and hold it in place. Oh, and I agree that the medium will be the right size.

No, I don't rule out a fungus. I just thought they lookied like eggs. Can you cut into some spheres?

I threw them away. I might try to cut them next time, but consider that it will be difficult to do because they are 3-4 times smaller than a lentil.

I'd suspect some sort of eggs as well. They do not look like any fungal organism I've ever encountered!

when someone make s suggestion.. google it.. and compare pix ... so i googled spider eggs.. and came up with moth eggs ...

Members of an Italian forum told me they were spider eggs. @ken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5, do you think they're moth eggs? Either way it shouldn't be anything dangerous for my ficus, right?
