I pulled up a large Sago that was killed in the last freeze. I was hoping it would resprout, but it never did. There were a number of pups on the roots, one or two of which had some green growth. Certainly the latter will be replanted, but what about the others? How do I know if a pup is viable, if there is no growth coming out? Since these were buried deep in the ground, and they certainly didn't freeze, should I just assume that they are viable, and will sprout when they get around to it?
