Tomorrow is the 1st of the month and if the first words out of your mouth are "rabbit rabbit" you'll have good luck all month. Anytime after midnight is fine and no need to say it to anyone.

Did it :-). I rather like this midnight tradition :-). Thanks for the reminder Eld that December 31st at midnight will be the year-long luck rabbit rabbit time. I set my alarm for midnight and usually remember to say rabbit rabbit. I've never been able to remember to say it in the morning. I'm considering naming all my pets rabbit rabbit. ;-) As long as it's the first thing you say out of your mouth on the first of the month even just after midnight it counts. :-).

Yes aok, I view it as a fun little challenge. I wonder why those who don't play feel a need to stop by each month to make a remark. I can't stand to watch boxing and I think it's an awful sport, but I don't go to boxing forums and complain or make comments, KWIM?

I am so tickled this morning. I have shared the practice of saying rabbit, rabbit on the first of the month with my grandkids who are teens now. Every month I text them a reminder. I forgot this month and this morning awoke to a group text from a granddaughter saying rabbit, rabbit. It is fun that they play along. This gives me hope that they pay attention to the other tidbits I send them like the word of the day which I send often but not daily.

I woke up after midnight and said it....said it to DH first thing this a.m. and he replied. We got another month under our belt!

@amy - that's funny. I often don't know the actual date but I usually know, generally, where in the month we are - beginning, middle, end. Annie's post always resets my inner calendar for me. :)
