what would be the right thing to do?

last year

I have this backslash that I’m going to do under my breakfast bar in my kitchen.. since it’s a definite pattern and each tile the same would I have to flip it so it doesn’t look repetitive? I could flip it 4 ways since it’s a 6x6 tile. Let me know

Can you play around with a dozen or more tiles, to see how it looks in different configurations?

Ya I could they just cost 15 bucks a tile lol. I was thinking about getting a couple more samples. I really like it

Verticillium, once present in the soil, requires susceptible plant species AND just the right conditions for an infestation to occur. Soil tests will not reveal anything of importance and you cannot rid your soil of the fungal propagules capable of infesting plants. All you can do is to avoid plants on that list of susceptible species...Viburnum is on that list, by the way. If you have poorly drained locations on your property, you might consider doing something to improve the conditions. If you stop providing host plants for the disease and do what you can to eliminate soggy soil, you can naturally reduce but not eliminate the presence of verticillium fungus in the soil.

I have my great-grandmother's autograph book. She was born in 1865, so the handwriting in it is so beautiful. I love reading the messages. It's the only thing I have other than the quilt she made before her marriage at age 14. Even though they were your MIL's keepsakes, it sounds like your DH is not ready to let them go. Her keepsakes are still attached to him. Really, they won't take up much room. I would box them up and label well. I'll bet you have magazines around the house which take up more space than this box. You may find someday that your own children might be interested in a teenaged grandmother. Do you have any pictures of her during this time period where you could maybe make a couple of scrapbook pages with the autographs as a background? Or DH may be ready to let it go in a few years. It isn't like it's a huge piece of furniture that interfers with your ability to live in your home. I vote top of a closet. Gloria

You are doing the right thing. I believe that only people who know what they are doing (qualified breeders) who KNOW they will have homes for the puppies/kittens should breed. What is worse is that you don't have homes for all the puppies. The female's owner doesn't want responsibility. Is the friend going to place all the puppies? How would you feel if some end up at a shelter? I also have to say that I think this person may want one of the puppies for the wrong reason. She may think the puppy will be like the grandfather in some way. That she can recreate her lost dog.

OMG, Daisy - that's absolutely STUNNING!!! Amazing that you can grow a rose so huge & beautiful & healthy in a pot! I hope my Pat will be half as beautiful as yours, one day! So far, I find it a bit frustrating that although she has a lot of buds, they never seem to open all at once - so that I get the effect like in your photos of roses all over the bush. They seem to just open one or two at a time - or at the most, in a cluster. Do you think this is because the bush isn't mature yet? Thank you for the parasol suggestion! Yes, I'd like to do the same. The only problem is, mine is in the middle bed and there isn't really any space to put up an umbrella, which would need a heavy base, etc. I did suggest buying one but my husband wasn't keen. He thinks it will clutter up our already tiny garden. Looking at yours, I'm really tempted to get an obelisk or something so that my Pat can climb up it - but I think, given the size of my tiny garden, I'm probably better to do as Nik suggested and prune Pat down to size - and hope she'll still bloom as a smaller bush. We rented a house while building. The rental was a builder spec house when originally built and the tile that covered most of the downstairs had only one pattern. It was awful to see that repeating pattern over and over, specially when it was meant to be a stone-look tile!

I find I have this problem with many wallpapers. I love the pattern in a small sample, but then have an issue with that pattern repeating over and over. The solution is a mural, but they can get quite expensive.

It is one thing to hang an imitation Picasso because you like the design and colors, but you wouldn't hang several of the same art piece next to each other. Your single tile looks like a piece of art, but the repetition will make it look bad.

For $15 a tile, the tiles should be handmade. These aren't. I would try to find something hand-painted that you like that is similar. I think the repeating pattern will not look good.

Scan it and print it and cut it out and play with it. It'll look bad repeating like you have it. The question is, how does it look scrambled? It's very pretty. How does the seller show it?

It's a cool tile as a single, but I agree with those who think it might not look great on repeat. Since you love it, I'd consider buying a few more and making coasters out of them (put felt squares on the backs.)

I actually found out it has three different tile patterns. Will that be good enough?
