Planting olive trees above retaining wall

Clinton Yada
last year

I recently had a Retaining Wall put in my back yard 3 ft high by 75 ft. On the ends I had the landscaper come out approximately 10-11 ft from the back fence. I would like to plant olive trees on each end but curious if anyone had any thoughts. Good idea or bad idea. I also thought about putting root barrier in front of the tree so roots may not disturb the wall but would have free reign growing backward. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
