Bath/Bedroom Paint Color

I came across this bath picture in Houzz with BM CSP-105 Smoke and Mirrors paint color. It appears to be paired with a tile that is not gray tone.

My question is - Can I use CSP-105 with my bathroom tile? I included a picture below with a CSP-105 paper sample taped to wall. I was thinking with my tile color, I couldn’t use a paint with gray hues (but would love to if possible).

One unrelated (probably dumb) question if anyone has advice, is it ok to re-use the same color in different spaces. I am thinking of re-painting my 1/2 bath with the same color used in my kitchen.

It looks good in your inspo photo and will be nice in your similar bathroom. Large wall spa art with cool grays and warm beige will tie the warm and cool tones in the room. I found art for you that I positioned for context only, not size or position. Link provided.

I need to change my response. I could have sworn that our master closet was the same color as the MB (SW Blonde) and I know that it was supposed to be, but today I looked at the closet and the walls and ceiling are both SW Dover White! My husband changed a lot of the paint colors on his own (GRRR!--he's afraid of color) and this is one change that I missed, but after thinking about it I'm glad that it is light color as we only have one small window in the closet so it would have been dark. We have 3 other walk-in closets and they all have SW Dover White walls and ceilings and don't match the rooms that they are attached to.

I really like the idea of using colors that are adjacent on a strip for MBR and Bath. I've got samples hanging on the walls right now of BM Palladian Blue in the Bedroom and BM Wythe Blue in the Bath, and I'm about 90% certain that those colors will be the ones. Also looking at the SW Strip that has 6211 Rainwashed and 6212 Quietude-those look very close to the Palladian and Wythe but they seem to me a bit less intense.

I would stick with Chantilly white as the trim. Chantilly and Dove white are too close and will fight with each other. My gut is that the Dove white will appear dingy.

The proposed paint colour looks like quite a different tone (cool) compared to your tile. You can of course choose whatever makes you happy but I would choose a warmer colour more connected to your tiles.

Yes - you can repeat paint colours around your home. It does make for a cohesive look.

Best to put a big white white paper behind that paint so you can see it in isolation with the tile. It’s much too ‘taupe/purple’ grey where your tile is warm beige leaning yellow/gold. And we can’t comment about other rooms and repeating paints - same floor? What other finishes will be there?

Tape it up instead of peel and sticking it to the wall. Look at it in many places in the bathroom, including areas near a window and areas that have shadows. Place it near your sink and toilet to see how it looks next to those materials. When you do this, put a white piece of poster board behind it so to block the distraction of your current paint. Take lots of pics and then post them here again. To my untrained eye, I think they look great together but I'd want to see it in larger swatches and other areas.

I love gray but I would not paint a bathroom that dark at all. I also would make sure the lighting is not skewing the colors I like LED 4000K in both kitchens and bathrooms , Waht is the bedroom like IMO that drives the bathroom colors for sure.

Sorry, to me it doesn't look like it goes with your tile, and it is a very dark color. What you have on your walls now is also pretty dark, but it looks better than Smoke and Mirrors would. If you're just tired of what you have and looking for a change, consider going lighter. I used Pale Almond OC-2 in a bathroom with similar tile in my previous house. If you want to stay with a darker color, look at Smokey Taupe 983. I can't be sure that would work because colors can be deceptive on monitors, but Smokey Taupe has some red in it which might be better than Smoke and MIrrors. Your tile has a peach undertone.

Thanks everyone for your advice and thoughtful responses. I will continue to explore options and use white paper background as suggested.

Regarding repeating a color, it would be the same floor. Color in the kitchen would be used in half bathroom. In general my house is painted with BM Sea Salt except kitchen (BM Museum Piece), bathrooms (various) and master bedroom/bath.
