Please, can anyone help me find more info on this china pattern?
Comments (2)Many sets of china are made witihout a teapot. Do you know where your grandmother got the china? There was a lot of china during the 70's that was sold/given away at supermarkets, drugstores and the like....you saved your register slips and with say $50 of slips and $5 you got a place setting.... I suspect that the companies which made the china for these promotions were larger companies making a specialized pattern. I have a set of 24 plates and mugs and salad bowls that are made in England which I boughtw ith the register slip and cash program. My daughter has a set of "Liberty Blue" which were my mother's, that came from the register slip and $5 program Some patterns were very popular....others not so much. It's pretty stuff....keep looking, it'll show up! Linda C Here is a link that might be useful: Liberty b lue...See MoreCan anyone verify this info/give more info?
Comments (4)Vinyl. Okay, you know what, I am feeling like an idiot. I contacted him several days ago off an ad and just touched base with him today. I was having trouble even remembering which ad was his, since I had answered several ads. I just went back and looked at his original ad, and even though he clearly said "Badger" repeatedly during our phone conversation and email exchange, the ad says Wolverine. No wonder it didn't send up any flags when I saw the ad! The whole conversation I was thinking, "Who the H is 'Badger'?" Too funny. This older gentleman may be a tad forgetful....See MoreCan anyone help me with info on Chickenpox?
Comments (11)bigfoot_liz -- You are the only other person I've heard say that she had a severe case of chicken pox. What do you remember about it? Do you have scars? Did you have sibs who also had the pox? Have you had shingles and/or the vaccine against shingles? I'm an only, but I recall hearing that this often strikes and builds. The first child may have a mild case; the second, worse; the third, severe. I have a dime-size scar on the outside of one knee. When I had the pox I couldn't walk. (Also some scars in my eyebrows and on my chin.) I had one mild case of shingles and have now had the vaccine. Curious to hear someone else's experience....See Moreanyone can help with info on this set?
Comments (6)Pesaro was a center for Italian majolica. Certainly no reason to think your set isn't really Italian majolica! There are many makers....you can do research on majolica made in Pesaro Italy and perhaps find the exact marks. It's a lovely set....and quite fragile....will chip easily so treat it with care....See MoreDLM2000-GW
