Hi all - I am finalizing lighting to go over my roughly 4x6' new island. I am doing decorative flush mounts as the small space will be open to the dining area, which will have a hanging fixture. I know the general style of light I want, which is super classic (this is an antique cottage), but I'm stuck on sizing. I can get size small lights which are about ~4.5" x ~9.5-10.5" or a larger size that's about ~5" x ~14". The lights will have some decorative value, so I want them to be large enough to grab some visual attention, but to be appropriately sized for this small space. I tend to prefer the proportions of the smaller lights, which are a bit chunkier. In addition to the island lights, there will be perimeter recessed lighting, undercabinet lighting, and sconces over the sink area.

Electrical plan (slightly revised since this draft) and example lights below

Small - 4.5"x9.5"

Medium - 5"x12.5"

Small - 4.25"x11.75"

Large - 4.75"x14"
