Comments (10)Well, far be it from me to swim against this riptide! :-) I've ordered another crosshead/pilaster set. metromom, the crosshead and pilasters are Fypon millwork (bought from accentbuildingproducts.com) and the wainscoting was DIY with pocket-screwed MDF and cove molding (photo of WIP below). Given the product size offerings and dimensional needs/limitations, I can't make the door surround much bigger, but I did buy a keystone to go in the middle of the door crosshead to dress it up a bit....See MoreHow far should a cherry tree be from the deck ?

Comments (20)If you want some color and interest in the dining room, I would think about changing what is over the buffet and getting a marvelous piece of artwork. Either one large piece or a trio, that goes to the height of the door frame. I would also change what is in those cabinets to make for a more interesting display in terms of color, shape and texture. For example, on the left, you have all white objects, it looks like serving pieces or bowls, all lined up in a row. This is a snooze.
