From your picture it looks like the lower windows by the fireplace are about the same height as your side windows. Could you put the same curtains/shades/drapes on these windows and put a blind on the top windows by the fireplace. IMHO the curtains should be all the same in one room.

We need window treatments for privacy in the marina, and mostly for sun suppression. The amount of heat from the sun shining in is tremendous. Light colored window treatments will reflect quite a lot. Limo tint. You mean like they use on auto windows so you can't see in? Can you see out?

You might want to consider a valance over both the windows that treats these two window as one. That would hide the roller shades. You could have a this made in the same fabric as you have used for the panels in the other areas of the house. I would lean towards the roller shads instead of the panels in these two room since you have a small space to the side of the smaller window the panel may cover up more of the window then you want to.

I recommend matching panels over shades for both windows, such as below. Note the rod placement and length as it relates to the window.
