Poochella, a question for you about image posting...
Comments (1)Oh you smooth talker..... I take full credit for pushing the camera button and that's all I do, believe me. I think the ability to post multiple photos per post is limited/allowed by the particular forum itself. Here, you can post many in a row. (I don't know the limit.) Elsewhere, it's one and one only, per post. Photobucket is very easy and useful online, in case you want to look at that as a photo storage provider. When I am limited to one photo per post, I find it easiest to then go on in the same post to include links to more photos for people to view i.e. photobucket URLs. like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/poochella/New%20Dahlias%202005/aerialviewbigbed.jpg That's the easiest way around the one photo limit I've found. What I want to look at is your and others' photos! So please promise to post some when able. Hope that helps....See MoreDon't gag! A Tom-Kat post
Comments (20)People put so much garbage in print for a buck that there is no point believing any of it. The won't even be published in Britain because they have a higher standard for the truth when it comes to books (not magazines necessarily and papers) and demand proof. They guy didn't talk to anyone who knows. He just speculated and fabricated as much as he could. That doesn't mean the whole book is false since some things can be based on logical deduction. I read that he didn't actually say it in the book but alluded to it, suggesting that church members suspect Hubbard to be the father. Suri looks so much like her mother (her eyes and lips) that I can't see questioning Cruise's paternity. I'm thinking she has the shape of his face and very much his chin, but it can't be certain until she loses the baby fat in another year or two. Besides, wasn't that man blonde?...See MoreHelp! I don't want window treatments (6 pics)... long post.
Comments (24)Laurie, Thank you so much for your warm compliment about my house. As far as the paint...we used Benjamin Moore throughout. I remember the white was called "Linen White" which is on BM's website. There are actually two beige colors used in the greatroom. "#1031" is written on top of the lighter beige paint can. When I looked at BM's website it shows "Carlisle Cream" for that number but looks very lavendar on my computer. Not like the real paint at all. I wish I could help you with the name of the darker beige we used but the store kind of tweaked that color for us. It was BM's Moorecraft SPEC paint and on the top of that can is written "MC #47" if that helps. bristlingacres, Thank you too for your compliment. All of our interior doors are stained with white trim. They are knotty alder. I'm posting one pic of the stairwell door which shows color and trim pretty good. I got some samples yesterday of Hunter Douglas woven wood shades. They seem very light. I can see through them easily and they come in a host of patterns. I downloaded a picture (sorry it REALLY tiny) and a darker color than I would choose. What does everyone think of this option??? Do you think I would need cloth curtains on the sides like in this picture?...See MoreI don't have the restraint to not post a sneak.. (Conestoga cabs)
Comments (38)Treb- Oh no, it was absolutely my fault. I saw the sample in full light so it looked much lighter. What I should have done is brought my sample they were supposed to match and compared the two. There's easily 3-4 shades difference between the two. In all honesty we were in a rush so I wanted to get it ordered and didn't take my time. Our flooring guys have been great aside from a few parts of their tiling job being poorly planned (ended up with a tiny sliver of tile on one spot, then another spot I think they could have made it look better, but again, we're rushing so I'll have to live with it). Funky and Mama Goose - Thank you!!! The ventilation slot is one of my favorite details. I couldn't justify doing a farm sink and my husband wouldn't go for me putting in an old cast iron sink with a drainboard, but still wanted something vintage!! Rdsga - So Conestoga has two different types of fancy toe kicks. There are applied ones and there are the ones like mine that are flush to the cabinet. Be warned that with the latter your cabinets have to go directly onto your floor (as opposed to cabinets first, then flooring up to the cabinets, which is common here) or you'd need shoe molding around the toe kicks. We ran into that issue and had to rush to get the flooring down. I worked with Jim from The Cabinet Joint, the way it's worded through Conestoga to do the toe kicks like I did is "shaped bottom rail". They have a few different designs you can choose from, without looking at my sheet I can't remember this profile is called but it's a standard offering. Good luck, I had a lot of fun learning their catalog! Let me know if you have other questions/need pictures! Prep Mom - Thank you!!!! I've had fun planning it all out!! Fldirt - The floors are already growing on me, so you might be right! ;) Nancy- Thank you!!!! I keep reminding myself he didn't spend the last half a year staring at cabinets. He still doesn't get the 'whole inset thing' and thinks drawers are a waste of space.. LOL I love him anyway. CPartist - My pendants and school house lights went in yesterday so I'll add pics of that. I will say, as cute as the schoolhouse lights are, they are so out of scale! When I have a chance I'll buy new shades that are bigger, since I do still like the fixture itself. But right now it looks a little funny because the windows look huge in comparison to my little dwarf lights... :D farmdrmer - I've been enjoying watching your house come together, too! We're getting closer! ;)...See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
