How to demount this TP holder?

I'm usually very handy at dealing with hardware, but can't figure out how to get this TP holder demounted. I want to change the orientation as the button at the end of the rod should be on the top side instead of the bottom. There are no setscrews visible anywhere, and the base that sits against the wall is solid and does not have a cap that can be snapped off. Suggestions on dealing with this would be appreciated.

Should have a little set screw on the bottom of the large escutcheon.

Can't help you on a recessed cup/toothbrush holder, but Lenape makes a ceramic recessed TP holder. It will come with instructions for installation. They also make a tile-in non-recessed cup/toothbrush holder, it just gets set in place along with the tile. Your local tile dealer should be able to order Lenape products; Eclectic-Ware is one online dealer. The model number for the TP holder is LEN-225, the tile-in toothbrush holders are LEN-1580 or LEN-1883 depending on configuration. FWIW, should it be necessary, they also make tile-in porcelain towel bars and rings.

Yeah. Maybe leverage isn't the right word. If you pulled on the far one, it would hit the center bar, so it wouldn't come off. But the close one doesn't have anything to hit. Well, there is that little lip, but I guess it depends on how hard you tug. ;-) I don't have one of course, so I don't know that would happen, but that's the only possible problem I could think of. I wanted to get the one sided kind for my DS who won't put on a roll, so I was looking these up a few weeks ago. I remember someone mentioning that you needed to hang it where you would pull against the attached side. If I had time I'd try to locate the thread. I did buy the one sided one, but it's not up yet, so no feedback...

I (almost) always buy the 1000 sheet Scott or 1000 sheet store brands. Not so much of an issue there. Plus it's much cheaper, and I like the products. I do notice the cheaper paper towels have trouble with the towel holders that clamp on the ends. Obviously they're a bit narrower so they don't hold as well, and of course fewer towels on them so I buy better stuff when on sale/clearance and hopefully have a coupon to boot.

Wow Very nice and I do like the paisley wrapped around the corner. Solved what you were going to do on the front too.I do not think you are so slow. I think I am going to cheat on my TP holder and put a mirror on the whole front. I was so freaked on grouting all the glass globs on my table and honestly it was not all that bad. I have had worse things to grout. My real big question for you is the mirrors. I have little round mirrors on the top of my table and I painstakenly cut round circles to fit the mirrors out of contact paper and covered all of them before grouting. I had concerns about scratching the mirrors. Since I could not get in here to ask I played it safe. So is it necessairy to do this or if a person is careful with the grout can you keep it from scratching the mirrors? I used sanded grout. I have had sanded grout remove the gold from the edges of plates if I pushed on it too hard in aplying and wiping up. Chris

That looks like one of the newer delta trinsic styles. Some of them have a spring mount, so you need to push in and slide up at the same time. When I installed mine I was really worried I would forget how it went, so I sure hope I remembered that correctly! You might see if there are some instructions online.

Thanks for the help, particularly GW: it was spring-loaded, with no setscrew, and even the Delta tech support person I talked with yesterday didn't have any knowledge of that design. Once I got it figured out -- with your help -- it took about 10 seconds to take it off and reinstall it in the correct position.
