We are doing renovations. We currently have honey oak cabinets and we are having them refaced. We like our giallo ornamental granite, so we’re working around that. Our kitchen faces northeast, so it doesn’t get a lot of bright light. I was sure that White Dove was the one and got a sample pot. I painted a poster board and it looks fine, but I’m worried that when all the cupboards are painted it might look too white with the giallo. Driving myself (and hubby) crazy! I need to make a decision soon, as our cabinet maker needs to know.

I was betwixt and between the same colors. Ordered samplize large samples of each. Decided on simply white everywhere - trim ceiling and walls and the results are stunning. Went with the Aura line - matte walls and satin trim and doors. Was worried about how it would look once up with our already installed white kitchen cabinets but this white is very forgiving. Definitely not too yellow (white dove was WAY to yellow). Even in low light and shadows the walls tur just the palest cream. Really lovely.

The safest answer is to get the cabinets, get a white that matches the cabinets to paint the trim and then pick an off white that looks great with your whiter white for the walls or use the same color for the walls and trim and cabinets and use different sheens on the walls and trim.

I would go with White Dove because of the warm tone of your tile floor. I'm concerned that Simply White might be just too white given the warmth of your flooring. Such hard decisions, I know!
