I don't have an answer for the color of the brick, but even if you paint it some other color, you will still have the stark white borders around the windows. Meaning that I'd keep in mind changing the color of those along with the brick.

I would paint the brick the same color as the siding for a more cohesive look and to de-emphasize the split levels.

Split levels usually look better when they're all one color unless you like a color-block effect. It looks like what you have on the brick now is more of a whitewash as the darker colored bricks are standing out. If you went a couple shades darker into gray to complement the siding I think it would be an improvement.

Yes, that did not turn out well at all. It's a bit of a disaster, imo. If you try that faux technique again but with dark colors then you should do a wall and step back to see how it looks before continuing. You can't do 3 bricks here and 3 bricks there... its got to be random.

I would color match the siding and paint the window sills that color though. that beige stone color really doesn't work.

Also too, landscaping will really transform the overall look. I'd start by pruning that overgrown trree/shrub near the front, and the bushes under the windows.

for the patio, consider some potted, shade loving plants.

For this part, consider painting your ceiling one of these grays (two of them lean on the green side to match your siding).

I'd also strongly consider using some porch paint for that tile. (some green/gray tones above)

then you can decide if you want to do a nice stencil over it.

right now the white on white w/the stone that really doesn't go w/the color palette, doesn't work.

since this stands alone, the brick chimney, what if you painted just this to match the siding color?

I dont mind the color of the brick. But, you do need some bright color there, to create some interest. Possibly large pots by the front door, etc, and maybe paint the door a brighter color

I would match the siding too, rather than trying to choose the 5 perfect colors to attempt to make a brick color pattern that works with the dark gray. Whitewashed brick can be beautiful, but if the contractor doesn’t know how to make it look natural it doesn’t work. Plus, it is too light and bright.

I suggest the same colour as the siding.will give the house a more cohesive look but I wouldn't paint any highlighted bricks like what is done now, all bricks the same colour. I also suggest to cover the brick on the column at the front door and paint it white like the trim.

Pretty sure painting the brick was a bad idea but now I agree all one color would be best and for sure those white trim parts on the corners too. Then maybe the white windows will be good.

We used to have a home where we painted the brick. We did a darker grey for brick and lighter for house body. This is the before and after. For our current house it’s all the same grey and we didn’t leave the edges white/black but painted them too.
