What faucet finish looks best with Ijen Blue quartzite?

The kitchen decor did a 180 when I chose Ijen Blue counters instead of Danby Imperial (my original choice but too expensive). I need a way to warm it back up. I was originally going to do honey bronze hardware but I'm not so sure now. I definitely don't want a brass/gold faucet. The cabinets are slab inset, nordic white. The floors are natural white oak. Stainless steel ovens, white Modern Aire hood, paneled fridge and DW. Any ideas? TIA!

Good decision re waiting to pick backsplash until later-good luck with your project and please come back and post a pic when the counters are installed!

Beautiful countertop!

Is there a reason you don’t want brass? I ask because I think maybe an unlacquered (raw/unpolished) brass would be stunning as it takes on a patina that would highlight the veining in your slab.

I purchased the lights through AD Cola in Natick, MA. (website www.adcola.com). ; They ordered them and had them drop shipped directly to me at a bit of additional cost, but we were under the wire and needed them quickly. Hudson Valley Edison collection in old bronze (semi-flush mount)- Adjustable Monopoint Pendant by Hudson Valley. I did order different glass shades. The semi flush mount over sink is 18-OB-R08, the pendants are 9341-OB the glass shades are GS-00560-CR. From the wall the stove is on to the china hutch wall is 20ft from the kitchen sink wall to the basement stair wall is 12 1/2 feet. Did you click on the above photo's? It will take you to a link with all the different photo's of the kitchen. There is an outlet right across from the fridge. If I were to do it again I would put a second one under the table on the other side. (laptop use) Still LOVE my kitchen - :-) Thanks CJC

@typeandrun, thank you for the response and feedback. Just out of curiosity, was honing an option when you were making your decision. This gives it the matte look but without the texture. We are going with a dark greenisland and warm white perimeter cabinets and I really like the Taj Mahal. I just want to make sure I get slabs that are more cream than beige. That's the toughest part b/c they look so different in the warehouses than they will in real life.

Kaitlyn G, sorry, just seeing this! Here is a photo of how it all turned out. The “white” quartzite I selected ended up being more grayish / off white when compared to the truer white of the cabinets (Fabuwood Nexus in their stock white for perimeter, stock grey for island). It was also a challenge to match with backsplash. I chose Artistic Tile “jazz” glass mosaic. I’m happy with how it turned out, but if I had to do it again, I might have sprung for the “cristallo” quartzite which is a harder slab, more like crystals / rock, vs the creamier more marble-like look of my quartzite. I say that because, despite being sealed w Tenax professionally 2x, there are still parts of my counter that are susceptible to moisture rings / stains from leaving a bottle of oil out without a coaster. They all fade away in a couple of days but it is annoying. Cristallo was 2x the price when I was looking, so I passed, it was like $260/sf installed! That said, I do sometimes regret not splurging on it… but I really wanted the subzero, and I definitely can’t live without that. Have you made material selections yet? If you go w Mont Blanc, make sure they seal it really really well.

It's funny you should say that because right after I posted this I found a picture that looked like what was an unlacquered brass faucet and thought it looked good. I will check it out.

Would you use the stone for a backsplash or would you tile? Right now the plan is a 3" stone splash and up to the ceiling behing the range. I don't know if I love it because I have a thing about putting anything dark above something light, in both decor and how I dress. LOL! I'm also not a blue person so don't even ask how I ended up with this stone because there's no explanation. Maybe a really pale blue tile. Idk.

I’d look into how well this stone would hold up to the heat that’s given off by the cooktop before considering it as backsplash material. I assume it would be ok but double check.
Personally I like a separate material for a backsplash but that’s me.
A very subtle tile (in color and style) would be my choice for a backsplash as the stone and faucet would be the stars.

The stone is fine for high heat but it's not an issue anyway because we're doing an induction cooktop.

Once the counter is in I'll probably be back on here looking for help with the backsplash. They have to template separately for the stone so I don't have to commit now.

I just picked the Ijen blue for our kitchen and I’m worried if it will go with my honey maple cabinets. Haven’t picked a floor yet. Any suggestions.

@rdietzler If you search ijen blue here, I think there is an example of someone who did Ijen Blue with honey colored cabinets. Also, you may get more responses if you start a thread asking that question specifically. :)
