Design Dilemma Bathrooms DIY

Bathroom Vanity

Hello everyone! I am seeking design advice on picking a bathroom vanity color/style for a remodel. The shower is going to be tiled in black, gray, and white hexagon tiles, with a gray pebble mosaic floor. The bathroom floor is going to be a wood look tile. I haven't decided on a wall color yet either but I am thinking about a light gray.

I'd go for a black wall-mounted vanity and a solid white top.

I would never do hex tiles for shower walls , I actually dislike them even on floors . But now you have them i think a color from the tile for the vanity so black is the obvious choice and a simple white top and integrated backsplash .

- thanks for the reply pricklypearcactus. sadly with the area im in the local plumbing and bathroom shops all suck. ive visited more than a few with an attempt to get names of manufaturers and some literature on products but none was available. (on the flipside when i visited a few local lighting stores i was given all the information i could carry). - even still, id have figured even if someone didnt have the answer to my specific question they'd atleast have insight on the Lacava (or Paini) Brands. - i was leaning towards thinking ive probably done all the research and thats pretty much why no one is responding.......it's just be nice to get a reply or two to know for sure.

I had the exact same problem. I picked out the vanity I wanted but did not think about the fact that it wasn't made to sit flush against the wall. I spent a month looking for something else, but in the end we decided to go with something shorter and have it not be against the wall. But we were going from 72" to 60" which is probably not workable in your mom's situation. I did find a lot of vanities that did have flat sides and could work in a corner, if you are willing to have the countertop fabricated. They just need to not have any trim detail on the top or bottom like the one you picked out does. I would just look at the ones without the pre-made tops. Because the pre-made top will still leave you with a slight gap because of the countertop overhang. This is an example: Avanity Modero which is sold everywhere, not just at Lowe's. The cabinet we ended up buying is an Avanity Madison which won't work for you, but I assume it is of similar quality. We are pretty happy with it. The drawers and doors have soft close but I do feel like the glides in my Ikea kitchen drawers are better quality. It is very pretty and I wanted a stained wood so I am really happy with our choice. If I had been willing to go with a painted finish, I think we might have stuck with the 72" Modero.

I was thinking the same, follow the color placement in the shower - black vanity with white top. But I would look at tops with a subtle grey veining to match that on the shower tiles.
