I have a 30" fully integrated refrigerator column and an 18" fully integrated freezer column, and I love them both. I would prefer a 24" freezer column but I didn't have the space. Either way, I highly recommend them. I got mine on clearance (older model) to save some money. They are virtually identical to the newer models, just without the LED lighting. It's also nice that you can install them in different places if you want to. One thing to be aware of is that the installation for the integrated (paneled) models is extremely complicated. It took my GC 3 days to get them installed. And if your ice machine ever breaks, it will cost a lot to have someone pull the freezer out for service (if they have to access the back behind the freezer), and that cost is not covered by warranty. I assume this is true for all integrated units, not just Thermador. Here is how ours look installed (all the way on the left in the photo):

I'd look at something other than Monogram for a regular built-in model. Their fit and finish isn't up to par with the competition , yet their prices are. The Monogram line of Fully Integrated fridges and wine units that are made in Europe are very nice though, as well as being a bit of a bargain for a high $$$ fridge.

Does anyone know if Miele has plans for a 24 inch freezer like their others? Apparently the current 24 is Liebhor designed and not he same as the others (do door shelves)? Is that how the other sizes were as some point? I am planning a 36 inch column fridge and 24 freezer. Prefer Miele but don't like that freezer. I'm still a year away from my project so hoping that 24 is temporary filler for a 24 Built and styled like the other sizes. Would a paneled Thermador 24 look like a match to the Miele fridge? Or go to 30/30 like the original poster but I think I could use the fridge bigger, I have a garage freezer but don't want to go as skinny as the 18 inch. 24 seems the right size for me. Or I might go sub zero as I also like their over under all fridge (all fridge but with 2 separate drawers at the bottom). I currently have produce in undercounter refrigerator drawers and like the one step pull out access. But I'm more of a Miele fan. Had a subzero in my old house and knew my repair man a bit too well. But that Miele 24 freezer is a problem and I would love if Miele did the separate drawers on the bottom style for the fridge.

yes, johnsoro25, my situation is like that, right next a little half wall but on the opposite side of the kitchen (little wall on right not left). As long as the articulating hinge allows the 90 degree opening to get everything out I don't have an issue. Though, I am a bit weary about not having the landing space exactly next to the fridge. My current design has a 24" pantry between the fridge and counter. But moving that fridge next to the counter means a really tight space in the aisle.
